8/2/2023 0 Comments Dolphins 3d chartMcEvoy will be playing catch-up with the playbook this week as he was added on Sunday via waivers. Wilson and Grant will have plenty of opportunities as the team exploits matchups. Stills will probably be the top receiver for Miami (at least, according to my predictions), while Amendola will become the security blanket receiver. The Dolphins seem to believe Parker and Grant will be ready for Week 1, with Parker taking his place atop the depth chart - more from potential he still needs to reach than anything else. Ballage showed he is ready to make an impact as well, while Perry can contribute on offense, but is more of a special teams player right now. Drake will be at the top, while Gore will see plenty of playing time. At some point, Miami will likely release Osweiler or Fales, but for a few weeks, keeping four quarterbacks until one establishes himself as the true second-string seems fine. Osweiler has more experience if it is needed, while Falk is the developmental quarterback that Gase wanted in this year’s draft but could not get, and now has. Head coach Adam Gase prefers Fales, but he has not performed well in the games. The Dolphins are carrying four quarterbacks right now, which seems odd, but actually makes some sense. The only debate at the quarterback position is who is two and three, Osweiler or Fales? And, at the end of the day, it does not really matter. We predict how the depth chart, which will be released this week, could be built: Quarterbacks Which raises the question of, how will the 53-man roster be shaped into a depth chart? Currently, the team’s online depth chart is organized simply in the order of the first depth chart from the preseason, with players released removed from the chart - leaving example of the Dolphins having a first-team, second-team, fifth-team, and sixth-team tight end. Now, as the team looks forward to their Sunday regular season opener against the Tennessee Titans, things should start to settle down a little. The Miami Dolphins completed their cuts down to the 53-man roster limit on Saturday, then picked up a couple of waiver claims on Sunday, followed by the signing of a free agent on Monday.

8/2/2023 0 Comments Winston cigarettes lighterNicknamed the “Banjo” for its distinctive shape, the design became immensely popular. Ultimately, the automatic lighter was created by Louis Aronson, founder of Ronson lighters, in 1926. This is a common design for table lighters. The user will flip open the lid or push a button that opens the cover, which will simultaneously spin a flint wheel and ignite the wick. The semiautomatic lighter first appeared about 1922, and is still standard for many reusable lighters. Various companies have made these over the years, in portable and table lighter forms. This metal matchstick is then struck to a flint, igniting the fuel-soaked wick inside the tube. Another type of manual lighter, commonly known as a permanent match, contains a well of lighter fuel in which a metal-enclosed wick sits in. The manual striking type, such as a Zippo, has the user physically make the spark come in contact with the wick by means of turning a flint wheel or striking the flint themselves. The manual striking type, the semiautomatic type, and the fully automatic type. The shapes and designs reflected the modern aesthetic, such as the early Art Deco patterns and styles.Īt that point, there were three basic types of lighters. By the 1920’s, lighters had become functional as well as artistic. Lighters of the early 1900’s are hard to find, as many have fallen into disrepair, or rusted due to poor construction. In fact, some crude lighters have been housed in match cases. This shape, roughly rectangular with rounded edges, became the prototype for almost all cigarette lighters. By keeping them inside metal cases, they stopped the danger of pocket fires. In the 1800’s, safety matches had not yet been invented, so match users were victims of accidental ignitions far too often. The basic shape of the modern cigarette lighter can be traced back to its ancestor, the match holder. Lighter development advanced greatly during World War I, as soldiers found them much more useful than matches, which caused a large spark when lit, easily giving away the positions of soldiers in the dark. Various other types of lighters appeared throughout the late 1800’s, most of them making use of a wheel striking a ferrocerium flint, or a similar flint-like substance. The Feuerzeug was a huge success, with an estimated 20,000 in use by 1828.īut the Feuerzeug, in all its effectiveness, was not very safe, and would probably be illegal today. The device created hydrogen gas in a tube from a reaction of sulfuric acid and zinc together, which would ignite after passing through a platinum sponge. He created the precursor to the lighter, which he called the Feuerzeug (often referred to as ‘Döbereiner’s Lamp’). The lighter wasn’t invented until 1823 by a German chemist named Johann Wolfgang Döbereiner. The match wasn’t invented until about 1805, and early matches were expensive and dangerous. Just by browsing eBay auctions for ten minutes, for example, I recently found a lighter shaped like a lion’s head, one made of jade and gold, and an electric lighter in the shape of a woman’s face that hangs on the wall.Ī flame we can carry in our pockets is something that we take for granted, but it was much harder to make fire in earlier times. In this article, Eric Beeson talks about collecting vintage cigarette lighters, including brands such as Zippo, Ronson, and Dunhill.Ĭigarette lighter collecting is a hobby that never gets boring. PCloud offers quick ways to share files and folders. You can read more about pCloud Europe data residency here. PCloud says it will add more data locations in future. Your choice of data location does not make a difference in how you use pCloud but if you use WebDAV, you will have to use the link related to the location. Data residency is chosen while signing up for an account and can be changed later. Although I wouldn’t do it myself, you can choose to keep your data in USA as well. PCloud offers data residency in European Union. In the end, I decided to go ahead with pCloud. At this point, I was stuck between pCloud and a comparatively new, Welsh-based Icedrive. I didn’t want to pay for a cloud that has no feature-set to offer on its own and instead, only competed through price. pCloud’s monthly plans start at $4.99 for 500GB but if paid yearly instead, the same plan costs $3.99.Īfter end-to-end encryption, data residency, and price were taken into consideration, I had to look for features I would like in a cloud storage. But I find their price insane and too business customer oriented. If price wasn’t an issue, I would be happy to go with Tresorit - another Switzerland-based cloud. I wasn’t prepared to pay for a cloud storage more than $5 per month for a 500GB plan. Within those 5 cloud providers, I began looking into other factors beside end-to-end encryption.Īlong with zero-knowledge e2ee, I was sure that I preferred a cloud storage with data residency in Europe, which pCloud offers.Īnother important point to consider was price. I wanted zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption and it took me a while to come up with some providers who offered that. When I started looking for a replacement to Google Drive, I knew I was looking for a cloud storage that took the privacy of my data seriously. After using this European cloud for a year, I thought it was time to publish a detailed and honest pCloud review. Out of these five providers, I chose pCloud for the reasons mentioned below. In the end, I found just five clouds with zero-knowledge e2ee. The search for privacy-friendly alternatives to products I use frequently led me to look for cloud storage with end-to-end encryption. I do not mind paying a premium for privacy. More recently, I have grown vary of relying on ‘big tech’ companies where I don’t like the monopoly and power enjoyed by them. But over the years, I have realised the importance of data. To be honest, I used these services because they are free. I still have Google Drive and iCloud - primarily because they are there as part of my already in use accounts but I don’t store my data on them. OneDrive was the first to go, followed by DropBox. Now I use none of these free clouds storages. I even used OneDrive since when it was still called SkyDrive. Similarly, iCloud was present with Apple devices. I also used Google Drive because it was bundled with Google account. I remember signing up for DropBox at least a decade ago and recommending it on my blog which helped me ‘earn’ additional free storage. You would sign up with a service like DropBox or Google Drive and use the free tier to its limit. A few years ago, I wasn’t any different from anyone else who wanted a cloud storage. 8/1/2023 0 Comments Quantum leap 2022 downloadHis adventures saw him play the roles of Lee Harvey Oswald, Elvis Presley, and on one memorable occasion, a chimp in the space program.
